What this is, plainly stated: A pre-built Excel spreadsheet template (.xlsx). It is not software, not a SaaS tool, and not connected to your bank or accounting system. You download one file, open it in Excel or Google Sheets, and type in your own numbers. All calculations happen inside the spreadsheet using standard formulas.

Three sheets. One complete picture.

The download is a single .xlsx file containing three worksheets. Here is exactly what each one contains.

01
Main Sheet

Cash Flow Forecast

Straightforward answers

What format does the file come in?

A single .xlsx file. You can open it in Microsoft Excel (2016 or later) or import it into Google Sheets for free. No special software is required beyond either of those.

Does it connect to my bank?

No. This is a standalone spreadsheet. You type your own numbers into the blue input cells. It does not sync, pull, or push data from any external source. Think of it as a structured template — you provide the data, the formulas do the math.

Do I need any accounting knowledge to use it?

No. The How to Use sheet inside the file walks through every step. If you know what money came in and what went out each month, you have everything you need. The spreadsheet handles all the calculations.

What does the Tax & Compliance Reserve row actually do?

It is a manual input field. You enter an amount you want to set aside each month for tax obligations. The spreadsheet does not calculate what you owe in taxes — that depends on your jurisdiction, structure, and situation. For that, consult your accountant or tax professional.

Can I add more rows or categories?

Yes, if you’re comfortable with basic spreadsheet editing. The formulas use standard SUM ranges, so inserting a row inside an existing block and updating the SUM range is straightforward. The Formula Reference sheet documents every formula to make this easier.

What is the Inflation Sensitivity Module and how does it work?

It is a dedicated section in the spreadsheet where you enter one inflation percentage (for example, 0.10 for 10%). Four rows automatically calculate: your adjusted supply/materials costs at that rate, the monthly cash flow impact, and your inflation-stressed Net Cash Flow and Ending Balance across all 13 months. Change the percentage and the numbers update instantly. It only applies to the Inventory / Materials / Variable Supply Costs row, not to all costs.
